In the event that your pet appears to be
exhibiting one of the following signs or any other abnormal behavior, please phone the
Animal Emergency Clinic (858) 758-PETS for advice. Remember the key to a speedy recovery is: "Don't Panic, Take Immediate Action!!"

  • Stops eating and becomes lethargic
  • Is vomiting, choking, coughing
  • Has diarrhea or bloody stools
  • Is scratching at his ears continuously
  • Is drooling abnormally
  • Is shaking or seizuring
  • Is suddenly more aggressive or passive
  • Has swelling on the body
  • Is emitting strange smells, for example, from their ears
  • Has an unusual discharge of any kind
  • Is losing an excessive amount of weight
  • Appears bloated and uncomfortable
  • Is experiencing unusual breathing
  • Nosebleeds
  • Purple splotches on skin
  • Loss of bladder or bowel control
